LiberKey has been tested with several antivirus software (listed below).
Despite these tests, some antivirus may alert you about virus or trojan infection. This is called a "false positive" detection.
Antivirus used by LiberKey Project :
- Avira Antivir Personal
- Avast! Home Edition
- AVG Anti-Virus Free
- Bitdefender Antivirus
- Kaspersky Antivirus
- McAfee VirusScan
- Norton AntiVirus
Please feed us back in the appropriate forum topic with your "false positive" detection. This will enable us to inform antivirus software editors who then will improve their antivirus database.
We recommend reading this article by Nir Sofer (author of NirSoft website) on the problem of false positive.
The term false positive is also used when antivirus software wrongly classifies an innocuous file as a virus. The incorrect detection may be due to heuristics or to an incorrect virus signature in a database. Similar problems can occur with antitrojan or antispyware software. (Source: Wikipedia)
