Hello.

Yes you can auto-start apps when your liberkey starts (or when closes).

Open the Autorun menu (Liberkey Tools => Configuration => Autorun ) Check the box Enable Autorun.
Normally the box When Liberkey starts is already checked.
Drag and drop the app(s) you want to start automatically from one of the menu in the main interface of your Liberkey like this :

When you have added the apps you want, you can order them with the button at the rigth of the windows. (When you move slowly over them, a contextual help function explains).
On top of the window you can specify the time before the autorun and time between each app started.

Enjoys.

Can this be done on non-liberkey apps?

I would like that when I close the liberkey menu, a batch file would run to do some cleanup tasks. Can this be done?

If you have installed your own portable applications in MyApps directory, the Liberkey can have detected them and has proposed the creation of shortcut for them in My menu .
If not, use LiberkeyTools => Manage applications => Add remove programs.
In the Manage portable applications left click on Add applications then choose From My Apps folder
When you have created a shortcut in these menu, you can use the autorun menu like this method :

Simply check the case : When the Liberkey closes in the autorun windows not, When the Liberkey starts
