Thanks to Oracle, OpenOffice is almost dead. Take a look at the new community project: LibreOffice! Would be nice if this could be integrated to LiberKey, too:

Thanks to the development team for including LibreOffice.
I was tempted to replace my current installation of OpenOffice on my LiberKey with LibreOffice, but I realized that the installation size of LibreOffice 3.3 is MUCH larger than that of OpenOffice 3.3 (725 MB vs 373 MB). Given that, until now, OpenOffice and LibreOffice are so similar, I wonder why there is such a difference in size between the two. Anyone care to explain? Thanks

... et peut-on impunément supprimer ces +/- 50 fichiers de langues inutiles dans Template ???

Excuse me :
... and can I, without trouble, delete those +/- 50 files of useless languages in Template???

Yes, you can... and that's what I did.
After "extensive cleaning", my LibreOffice installation folder size has reached 378 MB (I kept a few foreign languages).

(And the whole thing is working good!... ;) )

===================
Oui, on peut : après un nettoyage "approfondi", mon dossier d'installation de LibreOffice est réduit à 378 MB (j'ai gardé quelques langues étrangères)... Et tout marche !

Could you please tell us which files/folders you deleted. I want to do the same thing, but I'm not sure which files are safe to delete. So far, I've identified two folders that seem to contain the files/folders that can be deleted:
\Apps\LibreOffice\App\LibreOffice\Basis\share\template
\Apps\LibreOffice\App\LibreOffice\share\extensions

But maybe there are more ...?
Besides, those folders also contain files that should maybe be kept, right? It's so confusing.
If someone could post a detailed list of folders that can be deleted, I'd be much thankful

I think you could safely delete dict-* folders from LiberKey\Apps\LibreOffice\App\LibreOffice\share\extensions except the one in your language (dict-en folder for english/american, dict-fr for french)

Then, you could safely delete all folders from LiberKey\Apps\LibreOffice\App\LibreOffice\Basis\share\template and LiberKey\Apps\LibreOffice\App\LibreOffice\Basis\share\samples folders except the one in your language (en-GB for english, en-US for american), layout and wizard folders

Thanks, Dji

I deleted those folders, but my LibreOffice installation on my LiberKey is still 539 MB (45% larger than what my OpenOffice installation was). I wonder if anything else can be safely deleted ...?
