Hello!

I need firefox to be installed on a offline machine. So i wanted to install the Firefox_45.0.2.lks File, but it's only 49kb and if i want to install it, it says "this package need to download original setup files from liberkey servers".

Is there a full offline install package for Firefox like it exists for chrome?

Thanks
Yves

Hello.

The update lks of Firefox works differently : it downloads Firefox from our servers and after it installs it your Liberkey to be portable .
It's the same thing for Thunderbird.

You could ofcourse install Liberkey and consequently Firefox on a USB-stick using another pc that is connected to the internet and use that. On the other hand, what is the use of Firefox if you do not have internet access?

Thanks four your answers. I use Firefox for local web development. The problem is that our company has restricted the download of binaries and I have to import the .lks over e data exchange platform.

So would it be possible to install Firefox on a "regular" machine and then just copy the "Firefox"-Folder under the "Apps"-Folder to the other computer?

Well, in fact, there is an alternative way (a little bit funky  ) to install Firefox/Thunderbird fully offline.

Thy this:
- Firefox LKS from our servers (ex with version 45.0.2)
- Official Firefox binaries from mozilla servers or from our servers (ex with version 45.0.2)

Save the LKS locally and, at the location you saved Firefox LKS, create a subfolder named "Firefox_45.0.2_Setup" (ex with version 45.0.2) with a sub-subfolder named "en", then put "Firefox Setup 45.0.2.exe" inside this last sub-subfolder.

Run the LKS, it shouldn't download Firefox binaries from servers because it find them locally and continue installation offline.

OK ! Nice to learn the method to install offline.

Is there any way to install Firefox 64bit instead of 32bit ?

I mean, Can this method be used to install Firefox 64 bit by just swapping the Setup file (Similarly Named) ?

Thanks for this installation guide. Unfortunately, the installer still tries to get the file from the Internet.

Could it have something to do with the language? (We have a german installation of Liberkey). I changed the installation language to "en", but it still didn't work.

Or do I need a new version of liberkey? (Currently using 5.7).

Thanks, yves

You can install Firefox to another PC then just copy folder with Firefox to LiberKey directory on offline PC.
