The 4.7 update advises that:

Portable Desktop Shortcuts can be configured (save Desktop / QuickLaunch Shortcuts)

I cannot seem to find any configuration options for portable shortcuts. Please can you advise where the portable shortcuts configuration can be found.

Solution is here in french but i think it's not difficult to understand
it's for the moment a manually configuration in PDS.xml to configure only desktop, only quicklaunch or both

I notice that Portable Desktop Shortcuts configuration is again mentioned in the 4.8 release notes. Is this still a manually configuration in PDS.xml or is there another way to perform configuration?

Yes, still manual configuration.

Please have a look on the LiberkeyTools\PDS\PDS.xml configuration file and in particular XML tags <ProcessDesktopShortcuts/> and <ProcessQuickLaunchShortcuts/>
