[Solved] problems with running Calibre

Hello,

Calibre isn't working when I'm trying to run "LiberKey\Apps\Calibre\CalibreLKL.exe" or "LiberKey\Apps\Calibre\App\Calibre\calibre-portable.exe". I just click those exe files and nothing happens. However, when I move the whole "LiberKey\Apps\Calibre\App\Calibre" folder outside of the "LiberKey\Apps" folder (e.g. to desktop), then running the "calibre-portable.exe" works.

I'm using Windows 8 x64, LiberKey 5.7.0620 and Calibre 1.41. Are there any logs I can check to see what's wrong?

Do you have the Liberkey folder located at drive root ? Try it.

It works. It even works when it's not located at root, but apparently the path cannot be longer than 33 characters including "LiberKey". For example, the location "D:\Programs\portableApps\LiberKey" does work, but "D:\Programs\portable apps\LiberKey" doesn't. It's strange, but I guess I'll just reorganize my folders a bit. Thanks!

Spaces within folder names (or path) are not well understood by some apps and I'm not sure portabilizer likes it neither.
