[Solved] LK Menu

Messagede gorkon » 19 Mai 2014, 06:59

Good morning !

I'm facing the following issue:

- LK is 5.7.0620, working smoothly, guest OS Win 7 professional
- old USB was a Sharkoon 3.0 with 32 GB, FAT32, working nicely
- new USB is a Sharkoon 3.0 with 64 GB, NTFS, working nicely
- the new stick must be NTFS-formatted (special reasons)

- after restoring LK onto the new stick, the menu is like:
- My Menu (green man) is OK, as before, no changes
- Most Used & Recent contain parts of My Menu
- all LK apps with structured folders are gone

Is this behavior caused by NTFS ?
Is there a way to rebuild the Menu ?

Cheers,

Good evening.

You've probably an error in your default.xml (in Liberkey\LiberkeyTools\LiberkeyMenu\data\Menu).
Liberkey closed, rename it for example default_old.xml then replace it with one of backup files you find in bak folder and rename this one default.xml.
Launch the Liberkey.
Is the problem solved ?

Good morning !

Yes, problem solved, thank you so much for the quick & professional assistance provided !

Yet another (minor) issue I'm having (sorry to abuse your patience) is with GIMP.

After launching it, the initialization routine will run for a while and return the messages:

1. print.exe - Entry Point Not Found
2. metadata.exe - Entry Point Not Found
3. file-pdf-load.exe - Entry Point Not Found

Then, the program starts and works fine. I had this problem in the past and vaguely remember
that I was given the advice to copy some GIMP folder from one location to another ?

Good morning,

I'm facing (all of the sudden) following issue with GIMP (2.8.10).
After launching the application, these messages will be displayed:

* print.exe - Entry Point Not Found
(The procedure entry point g_type_class_adjust_private_offset
could not be located in the dynamic link library libgobject-2.0-0.dll)

* metadata.exe - Entry Point Not Found
(The procedure entry point g_type_class_adjust_private_offset
could not be located in the dynamic link library libgobject-2.0-0.dll)

* file-pdf-load.exe - Entry Point Not Found
(The procedure entry point g_thread_create
could not be located in the dynamic link library libglib-2.0-0.dll)

No changes were made at the USB medium or at the structure of LiberKey.
As far as I can trace this event, it must have occured following a self renewal
(update) by GIMP itself.

Any cure for this ?

Cheers,

Did you try to fully delete the application from your Liberkey and add it again ?
